A memecoin on BNB Chain called "My Girlfriend Jing Tian" surged more than 10,000% after TRON founder Justin Sun went public with an explosive account of a collapsed relationship with Chinese actress Jing Tian, setting off one of the more unusual celebrity-crypto crossover stories in recent memory.

The token briefly reached a market cap of around $7 million before retreating toward $2 million, a sharp but familiar arc for sentiment-driven memecoins that live and die on viral attention.

What Sun Claimed

TRON founder Justin Sun ignited a firestorm on Chinese social media after claiming an artificial intelligence chatbot advised him to end his relationship with prominent Chinese actress Jing Tian over a $50 million financial dispute and surrogacy plans. Sun published a lengthy post on social media titled "My Girlfriend Jing Tian," purportedly detailing his alleged relationship with the actress, from secretly admiring her in 2007 to eventually meeting, dating and discussing marriage, before the relationship broke down.

In a post he noted took over ten hours to write, Sun alleged the couple had reached the stage of discussing marriage, and that he had already paid a 30 million yuan dowry to Jing's parents while the pair had agreed to have a child via surrogacy. Sun further alleged that shortly before Jing was scheduled to undergo an egg retrieval procedure, the actress unexpectedly demanded an additional $50 million.

Faced with the ultimatum, Sun said he consulted Anthropic's AI chatbot Claude for guidance. Acting on the AI's recommendation, Sun rejected the financial demand, effectively ending the relationship.

Sun's attorney subsequently issued a statement confirming a civil lawsuit against Jing and her parents over a related property dispute, with the amount involved allegedly exceeding RMB 30 million (approximately $4.5 million), and the case formally accepted and filed by the court.

Jing Tian Pushes Back

Jing Tian has rejected Sun's account. Her studio issued a statement claiming that Sun is attempting to "use her reputation as leverage" and that all matters involving Sun will be handled by the court.

The story dominated Chinese social media, with multiple related hashtags occupying top trending spots on Weibo. Public reaction was heavily polarized, with some users mocking the role of a chatbot in ending a high-profile romance, while others criticized Sun for publicly disclosing intimate details about the couple's medical procedures, finances, and private plans.

The court case carries additional complications: surrogacy is strictly prohibited in China, meaning proceedings could create legal exposure for both parties if the matter goes to trial.

For crypto markets, the episode is another reminder of how celebrity drama can briefly ignite speculative trading on BNB Chain, where low-cap memecoins regularly spike on viral narratives before giving back most of their gains.
