Stellar Added to BVNK's Multi-Chain Rail

@BVNKFinance has added native support for the @StellarOrg ecosystem, opening up stablecoin settlement across more than 130 markets through a single API connection. The move enables sub-penny settlement of stablecoins at high volume, extending BVNK's reach across a global payments landscape that remains deeply fragmented.

The Stellar integration is one of several infrastructure steps @BVNKFinance has taken to unify liquidity across multiple blockchain networks, giving institutional clients a single point of access to multi-chain stablecoin flows rather than managing separate connections for each rail.

The Mastercard Backdrop

The announcement comes after a significant shift in BVNK's ownership structure. Mastercard announced a definitive agreement to acquire BVNK for up to $1.8 billion in March 2026, with the deal closing on August 3, 2026. The acquisition was structured as a base payment of $1.5 billion plus up to $300 million in contingent payments.

At the time of closing, Mastercard said the deal expands its strategy to support interoperability across fiat and digital currencies. Jorn Lambert, Mastercard's chief product officer, noted that stablecoins are increasingly addressing real-world needs in cross-border B2B payments, remittances, and treasury flows.

According to Crypto Briefing, the BVNK platform was already processing roughly $30 billion in annualized stablecoin payment volume before the Mastercard acquisition closed. Clients include Worldpay and Deel, who use the infrastructure for cross-border settlement and treasury operations. Adding Stellar to the mix broadens the network options available for those use cases.

The Stellar integration sits alongside a broader wave of partnership activity at BVNK. In September 2026, the firm and Marqeta announced plans to launch stablecoin-backed Mastercard cards for fintechs across more than 40 countries, combining BVNK's payment infrastructure with Marqeta's card-issuing capabilities.

Together, these moves point to a clear direction: building a unified stablecoin payments layer capable of operating across chains, currencies, and geographies at institutional scale.
