Both Networks Post Notable On-Chain Gains

Two of the broader crypto market's closely watched Layer-1 blockchains, @Cardano and @Aptos, have posted meaningful jumps in both price and on-chain activity over the past 24 hours, offering a snapshot of renewed user engagement across competing networks.

@Aptos recorded an 11.2% daily increase in transaction volume, processing 11.1 million transactions within a single 24-hour period. That figure sits within a broader growth trend for the network. Aptos processed 389.36 million transactions in July 2026, its highest monthly total since August 2024. Everstake credited continued infrastructure upgrades and ecosystem expansion by Aptos Labs for the growth. More recently, the network recorded 13.2 million transactions in a single 24-hour window, its highest daily activity level in the past week, according to data from Chainspect.

@Cardano, meanwhile, processed 24,000 transactions yesterday, its highest daily throughput over the past seven days. $ADA trading volume jumped 48% to roughly $600 million in a single day, reflecting a parallel pickup in market activity alongside the on-chain gains.

Context: A Broader Recovery in Network Usage

The activity uptick arrives as both networks build toward key milestones. On the Cardano side, the forthcoming Van Rossum Hard Fork and Ouroboros Leios upgrade are set to significantly enhance smart contract efficiency and transaction processing capabilities, targeting over 1,000 transactions per second. Analysts are looking for confirmation of rising trading volume, an upward trend in wallet addresses, and the successful release of major upgrades like Van Rossem and Ouroboros Leios to sustain any $ADA breakout.

For Aptos, institutional interest has been building alongside the network usage data. $APT was classified as a digital commodity by the joint SEC/CFTC rule on March 17, 2026. Daily transactions on the network hovered near 10 million with the stablecoin market cap around $1.66 billion as of April 2026, while Bitwise continues an active $APT spot ETF filing following the commodity classification.

Whether the current activity spike translates into sustained momentum for either network remains to be seen. Still, the numbers add to a growing body of on-chain evidence that both @Cardano and @Aptos are attracting real user engagement beyond speculative price moves.
