Cardano Foundation spent three days training IT educators at a Brazilian technology institute
The Cardano Foundation ran a three-day blockchain workshop with educators and R&D researchers at SENAI CIMATEC in Salvador, Brazil, covering development practices and use cases in automotive and agritech.
Hands-On Blockchain Training in Salvador
The @Cardano_CF team spent three days working directly with educators and research and development professionals at SENAI CIMATEC in Salvador, Brazil. Sessions covered blockchain development practices and real-world use cases, with a focus on how the technology could support industries such as automotive manufacturing and agritech.
No formal partnership, curriculum placement, or follow-up program was announced from this engagement. The Foundation framed the visit as grassroots education outreach, noting that every new builder starts with someone who showed them how.
SENAI CIMATEC is one of Brazil's most advanced technology, research, education, and innovation centers, headquartered in Salvador, where it operates a Technology Center, a University, and a Professional Education Center. The wider SENAI network, whose full name translates as National Service for Industrial Training, is a system of professional schools established and maintained by the Brazilian Confederation of Industry.
Part of a Broader Brazil Push
The Salvador workshop fits into a pattern of deepening Cardano Foundation activity across Brazil. In June 2026, the Foundation announced a strategic multi-year partnership with SENAI São Paulo, combining SENAI's educational and technical expertise with the Cardano Foundation and Cardano Academy's experience in enterprise blockchain infrastructure and training. The first phase of that initiative onboarded 130 R&D and education professionals through intensive technical training in São Paulo.
A strategic partnership with the University of Brasília and the launch of the first Cardano Project Development Lab in Latin America also mark a step forward for blockchain research, education, and applied development across the region. The SENAI CIMATEC session in Salvador, while smaller in scope, reflects the same intent: placing Cardano in front of the educators and researchers who shape the next wave of technical talent in Brazil's industrial training network.
SENAI CIMATEC is considered the most relevant research and innovation agent for industry in Brazil, with a project portfolio that currently exceeds R$1 billion across areas including autonomous robotics, materials, and energy. That industrial research focus makes it a natural context for exploring where blockchain could slot into supply chains, product traceability, and sector-specific data integrity.
