Chainlink data feeds are running on the Stripe-backed Tempo blockchain
Chainlink Data Feeds are now live on Tempo, the payments-focused Layer 1 blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, giving developers oracle-powered price data for collateral valuation, FX rates, and risk controls.
Chainlink Feeds Go Live on Tempo
@tempo announced on Thursday that @chainlink Data Feeds are now available to developers building on its payments-focused blockchain. The integration lets teams pull live price data directly into their applications to value collateral, compare foreign exchange rates, and set risk controls, all without running their own oracle infrastructure.
Tempo is a payments-focused Layer 1 blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm. It is purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe's experience in global payments and Paradigm's expertise in crypto. The chain launched its mainnet in March, bringing its stablecoin payment system out of testing and into live use.
One of its more distinctive design choices is the absence of a native gas token. No native volatile token exists on Tempo. The network lets participants pay fees in supported stablecoins such as USDC. Validation on the chain remains permissioned.
A Payments Chain Built for Institutional Scale
To ensure Tempo serves a broad array of needs, initial design partners include Anthropic, Coupang, Deutsche Bank, DoorDash, Lead Bank, Mercury, Nubank, OpenAI, Revolut, Shopify, Standard Chartered, Visa, and more.
The network is designed to handle high volumes of low-cost stablecoin transactions and includes a Machine Payments Protocol that lets software and AI agents pay for services autonomously.
Chainlink Data Feeds deliver trusted market data that powers DeFi, tokenized assets, and global onchain finance. The service covers market data for crypto, commodities, forex, and indices, among other asset classes. For Tempo developers, the addition removes a meaningful technical barrier: teams can access battle-tested price data without building or maintaining oracle infrastructure of their own.
Chainlink deployed new integrations across Creditcoin, Neo X, Tempo, Ink, and Robinhood Chain as part of a broader expansion of its oracle and cross-chain interoperability reach. Whether that translates into sustained usage will depend on developer adoption as Tempo's ecosystem matures.
