Three days after its debut on @Sunrise, the Solana-native version of $DOGE is sustaining real trading interest. The asset recorded $8.83M in 24-hour volume across 143,779 individual trades, and cumulative volume since listing has now reached $46.33M, with 15,047 unique on-chain holders.

How DOGE Arrived on Solana

Dogecoin went live on Solana through the Sunrise protocol, an asset gateway built by Wormhole Labs, with Solana's official account confirming the rollout on September 7, 2026. The integration is native rather than synthetic. Through Wormhole's Native Token Transfers framework and Sunrise, $DOGE is accessible on Solana natively, meaning the token keeps its original properties rather than becoming a synthetic stand-in wrapped in someone else's smart contract.

Sunrise assigns a unified mint address to each incoming asset, so there is one DOGE on Solana, not four slightly different ones traded in separate pools. App coverage went live immediately: $DOGE is usable on Jupiter, Backpack, Phantom, Solflare, Raydium, Kamino Swap and Mayan, spanning swaps, wallets, lending and bridging in a single rollout.

What the Numbers Show

Just three hours after going live on Solana, $DOGE reportedly generated more than $10 million in trading volume. Activity has held up since. The $8.83M recorded in the most recent 24-hour window, spread across nearly 144,000 trades, suggests demand is not simply a launch-day spike.

Dogecoin has historically had limited DeFi functionality because its blockchain was primarily built for payments. By becoming accessible on Solana, $DOGE can tap into the chain's broader DeFi ecosystem, allowing users to trade, provide liquidity, and potentially use the asset in other financial applications. Pulling a token with $DOGE's circulating supply into Solana's DeFi ecosystem could deepen cross-chain liquidity across the network's exchanges, though analysts caution that new liquidity does not automatically translate into sustained price strength.

With more than 15,000 unique holders already on-chain and cumulative volume approaching $50M, the early data points to genuine user uptake. Whether the momentum holds will likely depend on how deeply $DOGE embeds itself across Solana's lending, swapping and liquidity protocols in the weeks ahead.
