Cardano And Bitcoin Now Share One Wallet SDK
Mesh has shipped a production-ready wallet SDK supporting both Cardano and Bitcoin, completing four Catalyst Fund 14 milestones. Here is what developers need to know.
Mesh Ships Unified Wallet SDK for Cardano and Bitcoin
Mesh SDK has shipped a production-ready wallet SDK that supports both $ADA (Cardano) and $BTC (Bitcoin) under a single interface, a move that could meaningfully reduce the overhead for developers building across both networks.
The SDK bundles headless wallets, core wallet modules, and transaction signing for both chains. On the Cardano side, it includes support for CIP-30, the wallet connector standard that defines both a connection protocol and an API for dApp development. For Bitcoin, the SDK connects to Xverse and other Bitcoin browser extensions via a unified Sats Connect API. The package is available through npm.
Funded Through Cardano's Catalyst Program
The work was carried out under a Catalyst Fund 14 grant. Mesh built this through a Catalyst Fund 14 proposal budgeted at 100,000 ADA. Four of five milestones already carry approved proof of achievement, and 76,000 ADA has been released so far.
The kit gives developers one interface for both chains, headless wallets, CIP-30 compatible tools, and equivalent Bitcoin primitives for addresses and script handling. It is fully open source under an Apache 2.0 license, with documentation already published.
Mesh is an open-source, production-ready TypeScript SDK for Cardano blockchain development, and the addition of Bitcoin support marks a notable expansion of its scope. For teams already using Mesh to build on Cardano, the update means Bitcoin integration no longer requires adopting a separate toolchain.
The SDK's availability on npm and its open-source licensing lower the barrier for teams looking to experiment with or deploy cross-chain wallet functionality in production environments.
