Dogecoin Wallet MyDoge Sets Deadline For Doginals Support Shutdown
MyDoge wallet will suspend support for Doginals and DRC-20 tokens on September 17, 2026, after infrastructure provider Maestro announced it is shutting down its Dogecoin API services the following day.
Dogecoin wallet @MyDoge has announced it will suspend support for Doginals and DRC-20 tokens on September 17, 2026, giving users just over two weeks to move their assets before the cutoff takes effect.
Why Support Is Ending
The move is a direct consequence of a decision by Maestro, the third-party infrastructure provider that powers Doginals and DRC-20 functionality inside MyDoge. Maestro announced the shutdown of its Dogecoin API services, which will occur on September 18, 2026. Because MyDoge relies on that infrastructure to display and interact with those assets, it has set its own deadline one day earlier. MyDoge described the development as an "unexpected and inconvenient change" for asset holders, while stating a clear goal to give users guidance well before support ends.
Maestro's Dogecoin Blockchain Indexer API provides structured, high-performance access to on-chain data for Dogecoin, including inscriptions and metaprotocol assets like DRC-20 tokens. Its shutdown leaves wallets that depend on it without the tooling needed to read or send those assets.
What Users Need To Know
Holders of Doginals or DRC-20 assets in MyDoge are urged to migrate those specific assets before September 17, 2026. Importantly, the alert is narrow in scope. The advisory does not concern $DOGE itself. Users do not need to move their DOGE or other supported assets out of MyDoge. The change applies only to Doginals and DRC-20s, and standard Dogecoin transactions will continue as normal, with new MyDoge features and updates still planned.
Users should also note that migrating is about retaining access, not preserving ownership. Dropping Doginals and DRC-20 support does not delete those assets onchain. Affected assets remain associated with user addresses onchain, but after September 17 MyDoge will no longer have the infrastructure required to display or send them. That means any Doginals or DRC-20 tokens left in MyDoge after the deadline will effectively become inaccessible through the wallet, even though they continue to exist on the Dogecoin network.
Users holding these assets are advised to transfer them to an alternative wallet that retains Doginals and DRC-20 support before the September 17 deadline.
