Pudgy Penguins set September 1 as the deadline to redeem Mystery Boxes
Pudgy Penguins holders have until September 1, 2026 to redeem their Mystery Box NFTs for physical merchandise or a live unboxing on Dyli. The burn window closed in March, leaving redemption as the only remaining option.

September 1 Deadline Approaches for Mystery Box Holders
@pudgypenguins has confirmed September 1, 2026 as the final date for holders to redeem their Mystery Box NFTs. Holders have until September 1st, 2026 to redeem their mystery box. After that date, unredeemed boxes will no longer be eligible.
Pudgy Penguins launched the mystery boxes in November, exclusively for Black Friday 2025, with 7,245 NFTs minted at $99.99 each. The boxes allow collectors to secure exclusive Pudgy Penguin items, including Igloo apparel, Vinyl Collectibles, and unreleased characters with rare traits.
Holders originally had two paths: burn the box for a Soulbound Token (SBT) or redeem it for physical merchandise. The team clarified that a collector's choice is final and cannot be reversed, and the option to burn a box for an SBT was only available until March 4, meaning users who missed that window can now only redeem for physical boxes.
Two Ways to Open: Ship or Stream
For those still holding boxes, two redemption formats are available. Holders can request physical shipment of their box or opt for a live unboxing through @dyli_io. If a holder chooses to have Dyli open their mystery box, Dyli will open it live on stream and tokenize each item in the box, with digitized items then tradeable on the Dyli platform and redeemable at a later date.
On shipping timelines, the project is expecting high demand and may take a few days to process orders. Once shipped, delivery in the USA will average 5 to 8 business days, while international delivery times will vary. Shipping is priced based on destination country. All redemptions are final, with no returns or exchanges accepted.
The project has not disclosed how many boxes remain unredeemed ahead of the September 1 cutoff.
