Remixpoint Goes Bitcoin-Only After Selling Entire Altcoin Book

Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed Remixpoint has fully exited its altcoin positions, selling every unit of Ethereum ($ETH), Solana ($SOL), XRP, and Dogecoin ($DOGE) it held. The liquidation happened on September 1, 2026, and was not a distressed sale. The sale generated proceeds of approximately ¥878.81 million, equivalent to roughly $5.5 million, and leaves the company with a single digital asset on its balance sheet: Bitcoin ($BTC).

Remixpoint offloaded 901.45 ETH, 13,920.07 SOL, 1,191,204.80 XRP, and 2,802,312 DOGE in a single strategic move. Ethereum delivered the largest single gain at ¥60.20 million, followed by Solana at ¥49.30 million and XRP at ¥11.52 million, while Dogecoin was the only position to close underwater, booking a ¥3.26 million loss. Remixpoint booked a realized net profit of around ¥117.78 million, about $736,800, on the transaction.

A Shift in Strategy, With Bitcoin Lending Already Generating Income

Back in June, Remixpoint's treasury strategy looked different. To protect its capital from the weakening yen, the company began buying altcoins and made a bet on XRP, accumulating a large position of around 1.2 million tokens while also adding Solana and Dogecoin to its balance sheet. After assessing market risks and the volatility of altcoins, the company's leadership decided to adopt a "selection and concentration" strategy.

Ethereum and Solana had previously generated income for the company through staking. Between July 16, 2025 and August 31, 2026, Remixpoint received ¥10.93 million in staking rewards from ETH and ¥18.94 million from SOL, taking total rewards from the two assets to ¥29.87 million. With those positions now closed, Bitcoin lending, where Remixpoint lends coins to counterparties and collects fees without surrendering ownership, generated cumulative fees of 14.92055902 BTC, about ¥164.22 million, between February 24 and August 31, 2026.

The company will direct the realized profit toward its core energy business, expanding its fleet of industrial battery storage systems and strengthening its financial position. Remixpoint's crypto portfolio now consists exclusively of approximately 1,506 BTC.

Remixpoint's Bitcoin concentration comes as other Japanese listed companies have developed treasury strategies centered on the cryptocurrency. Metaplanet held 43,000 BTC after adding 2,823 Bitcoin during the second quarter of 2026. The proceeds from Remixpoint's altcoin sales are being recognized as business segment revenue for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027.
