Arbitrum Foundation reports $6.19 million in first-half income to its DAO
The Arbitrum Foundation's bi-annual report shows the ArbitrumDAO earned $6.19 million in H1 2026 across four income lines, while Robinhood Chain's mainnet launch opened a significant new licensing revenue stream.
Four Revenue Lines, 97% Gross Margins
The @arbitrum Foundation published its Bi-Annual Progress Update on September 2, covering the six months to June 30, 2026. Income of $6.19 million accrued to the ArbitrumDAO from four lines during the half: Arbitrum One transaction fees, Timeboost, Arbitrum Expansion Program (AEP) licence fees, and treasury income. Gross margins across protocol revenue topped 97%, compared with more than 90% for full-year 2025.
The network processed 478 million transactions during the period, around 18% of its 2.7 billion lifetime total. Average monthly stablecoin transfer volume was more than $70 billion, while stablecoin holders increased 40% to 10.5 million, and Arbitrum ranked first by tokenized real-world asset deployments, with more than 2,000 assets deployed.
The DAO held $125 million in non-native treasury assets, excluding $ARB, at June 30, 2026, which supports the capital flexibility to pursue opportunities to grow the Arbitrum ecosystem and the DAO's income.
Robinhood Chain Opens a New Revenue Stream
The report also highlights a development that fell just outside the reporting window. Robinhood Chain went live on public mainnet on July 1, 2026, a dedicated Arbitrum chain settling to Ethereum, after a testnet that processed more than 200 million transactions. The chain, operated by @RobinhoodCrypto, is built under the Arbitrum Expansion Program, which routes 10% of fees collected on Robinhood Chain to the Arbitrum ecosystem: 8% to the tokenholder-controlled treasury and 2% to fund development.
Robinhood Chain launched on mainnet on July 1, and that month Expansion Program licensing fees brought in $360,000, accounting for 35% of ArbitrumDAO's income. That single chain is already reshaping where the DAO's revenue comes from, with outside licensees now a material contributor alongside Arbitrum One's own transaction fees.
As of August 17, 2026, approximately 9.23 billion $ARB, or 92.3% of total supply, was unlocked or held in the ArbitrumDAO treasury. The remaining 0.77 billion $ARB is the balance of the original vesting schedule, with the final vest arriving in March 2027.
