Describe the app and Arc will build it
Arc has launched Arc Studio, an AI coding agent that converts plain-language prompts into full-stack onchain apps complete with frontend, backend, and smart contracts. Built on Circle's developer stack and tested across nine blockchains.
Arc Studio turns a text prompt into a deployable onchain app
@arc has launched Arc Studio, an AI coding agent designed to close the gap between an idea and a working blockchain application. Arc Studio lets developers create onchain apps, contracts, and agents through prompts, generating a full-stack application in minutes, covering the frontend UI, backend logic, and smart contracts. The tool is aimed at both experienced builders and those new to onchain development.
Developers can start on the web or drive Studio as a subagent from tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor without leaving their existing workflow. That flexibility means teams are not forced to adopt an entirely new environment to take advantage of the tooling.
Building onchain has historically required developers to assemble a significant amount of infrastructure before testing, including wallets, gas, smart contracts, protocol integrations, and testnet tooling, all before writing a single line of product logic. Arc Studio is positioned as a direct answer to that friction.
Circle's infrastructure and nine-chain test coverage underpin the launch
Studio is built around @Circle's developer stack. From wallets and settlement logic to automated treasury workflows, escrow systems, and conditional payments, Studio helps teams leverage AI to cut the time from inspiration to a working build from weeks to minutes.
Arc Studio was released alongside the public mainnet launch of Arc, Circle's open Layer 1 blockchain. Circle Internet Group (NYSE: CRCL) announced the public mainnet launch of Arc on September 16, 2026, describing it as an open Layer 1 blockchain purpose-built for financial markets, real-time money movement, and agentic economic activity.
Alongside the mainnet, Circle introduced two developer tools: Arc Studio, an onchain coding agent for generating smart contracts and application code, and Arc App Kits, a software development kit for adding payment, swap, and yield functions to applications. Arc Studio tests across nine chains, including Base, Ethereum, Monad, and Polygon, giving developers broad coverage from day one.
USDC accounts for 98.8% of agent-driven transaction volume, and since Circle's Agent Stack launched in May 2026, the overwhelming majority of agent-to-agent payments settling over the x402 standard have settled in USDC.
