What Is Changing and When

Aster DEX is updating how it calculates USD1 RWA Boost points starting from Epoch 3, with the new rules going live on September 14 at 00:00 UTC. From that point, both Trading Points and Open Interest (OI) Points will be measured over a rolling 24-hour UTC window rather than on an hourly basis. Five-minute eligibility snapshots remain unchanged.

Under the revised system, Trading Points will also apply a 24-hour OI-based multiplier, adding an extra layer of reward for traders who maintain consistent open positions throughout the day. The move is designed to smooth out point accrual and reduce the advantage of short-term activity timed around hourly resets.

The Broader USD1 RWA Boost Campaign

The points update sits within a larger rewards programme that Aster DEX and World Liberty Financial launched on August 31. Aster, the privacy-first onchain trading platform backed by YZi Labs, kicked off the USD1 RWA Boost: Phase 1 campaign with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), featuring 125,000,000 $WLFI and 6,250,000 USD1 in rewards.

The campaign runs from August 31 through December 31, 2026, covering SPCX/USD1, CL/USD1, XAU/USD1, SNDK/USD1, SKHYNIX/USD1, and MU/USD1. Users earn Trading Points through taker volume on eligible USD1 pairs, which determine their share of the USD1 reward pool, while OI Points are earned by holding eligible positions and determine their share of the $WLFI reward pool. Traders using Single Asset Mode with USD1 as collateral receive a 2x boost on OI Points. Multi-asset traders can still participate, but they need to keep at least 50% of their collateral in USD1 to remain eligible.

USD1 is the stablecoin at the centre of these markets. Issued by World Liberty Financial and custodied by BitGo Trust Company, it is backed by cash and short-duration US Treasury bills. Launched on Ethereum and BNB Chain in March 2025, it had grown to a circulating supply near $4.5 billion by Q1 2026.

For traders already active in the USD1 RWA Boost programme, the key date to note is September 14. Points earned before that date are calculated under the existing hourly model. From Epoch 3 onward, daily aggregation and the OI-based multiplier on Trading Points will apply.
