BNB Chain tokenized asset holders climb past 1.2 million after a 529% monthly jump
BNB Chain RWA holders surged past 1.2 million as of August 27, 2026, with 30-day transfer volume hitting $29.88 billion, driven by tokenized stocks on the Binance-linked bStocks platform and PancakeSwap.
The number of tokenized real-world asset holders on @BNBCHAIN has crossed 1.2 million, according to data from rwa.xyz as of August 27, marking a 529% increase over the past 30 days. The count stood near 300,000 in early August, underscoring the speed of the expansion.
Alongside the holder surge, 30-day transfer volume on the chain rose nearly tenfold to $29.88 billion over the same window. Total tokenized asset value on BNB Chain held near $5.79 billion. rwa.xyz tracks 1,285 tokenized assets on the network as of August 27, spanning stocks, ETFs, treasuries, and other asset classes.
bStocks and PancakeSwap at the center of the rally
Much of the momentum traces back to the Binance-linked bStocks product line. Launched in June 2026, bStocks are BEP-20 tokens backed by underlying securities or assets held with regulated custodians. They trade primarily through @PancakeSwap and can also be deployed across other DeFi protocols, with no brokerage hours or settlement delays.
The lineup spans some of the most sought-after names in traditional markets. Strategy ($MSTRB) and the Invesco QQQ Trust ($QQQB) offer exposure to publicly listed securities, while $SPCXB provides access to SpaceX as a private-market asset. All are issued as BEP-20 tokens tradeable around the clock on-chain.
A broader RWA boom, with BNB Chain capturing the equities lead
The August acceleration fits into a wider trend. Binance Research reported that global tokenized RWA value grew from roughly $22 billion in January to $34 billion by mid-July 2026, up more than 50%. BNB Chain's tokenized RWA market cap grew 107% over the period, lifting its share of on-chain RWA from 9.8% to 13.5%.
On the equities front, Binance Research found that BNB Chain became the leading tokenized equities chain in H1 2026, with on-chain tokenized equities growing from $34 million at the start of the year to $652 million in July, surpassing Ethereum and capturing close to a third of the on-chain total. Monthly tokenized stock trading volume on BNB Chain passed $4.5 billion in July, roughly 83% of the sector's total activity.
Tokenized equities are not without risk. bStocks do not carry voting rights or direct legal shareholder status in underlying companies, and investors remain exposed to smart contract vulnerabilities, potential tracking errors, and evolving regulatory frameworks. Still, demand for around-the-clock access to assets such as SpaceX, which has historically been off-limits to most retail participants, appears to be a meaningful driver of the current growth.
Rivals including Robinhood Chain and Solana are also competing for tokenized-stock activity. Whether BNB Chain can sustain its lead in equities value and trading volume as competition intensifies remains to be seen.
