Cardano Goes Live as Public Proof Layer

@Cardano_CF is now active as the public blockchain layer underpinning the Blockforce traceability network, with more than 500,000 supply chain documents already anchored on the $ADA blockchain. The milestone marks a concrete enterprise deployment for Cardano in a sector where blockchain technology has long been discussed but less frequently delivered at scale.

Blockforce, which has been building blockchain-based supply chain solutions since 2018, primarily serves Brazil's fashion and agricultural industries. The company is a certified B Corp, meeting specific standards around social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. One of its marquee projects involves Riachuelo, a major Brazilian retailer that launched what it described as 100% traceable agroecological cotton apparel.

A Two-Layer Architecture Built for Privacy and Verification

The platform's technical design pairs a permissioned private network with a public blockchain anchor. Hyperledger Fabric handles the storage of sensitive commercial data, while cryptographically verifiable proofs of existence are written to the Cardano blockchain. Hyperledger Fabric is a permissioned blockchain platform designed for enterprise use cases where privacy, security, and scalability are critical requirements. This makes it a natural fit for the private data layer, where confidential supply chain records need to remain restricted to authorised participants.

The Cardano side of the architecture serves the opposite purpose: openness. With immutable records and real-time transparency, Cardano supports secure, agile operations, allowing companies to track products from origin to consumer and prevent fraud with verifiable provenance. By anchoring cryptographic proofs on a public ledger, the system allows regulators, auditors, and consumers to independently verify the authenticity of physical goods without ever exposing the underlying private data.
