@Injective Protocol ($INJ) has gone live on @Phantom, bringing one of the fastest-growing Layer 1 DeFi networks directly into the wallet that dominates the Solana ecosystem. The integration marks a meaningful step in making $INJ accessible to a far broader retail audience.

What the Integration Offers

$INJ holders can now hold, trade, borrow, and exchange tokens directly through the Phantom browser extension or mobile app, with no additional setup required. Previously, accessing Injective's trading and tokenization tools typically involved navigating separate interfaces or bridging assets across chains. That friction is now removed for Phantom users.

Injective is built as an interoperable Layer 1 blockchain designed for Web3 finance, offering decentralized trading, smart contracts, on-chain governance, low fees, and asset bridging. Because it is built on the Cosmos SDK, it operates differently from standard EVM-compatible chains, which has historically made wallet support more complex to implement.

A Major Distribution Unlock for $INJ

The choice of Phantom as an integration target is significant. Phantom is the most recognizable Solana wallet and holds 39.4% of the Solana wallet market, the largest single share among self-custody options on the network. The wallet previously closed a $150 million Series C round at a $3 billion valuation, backed by Sequoia Capital and Paradigm, at the time reporting 15 million monthly active users and $25 billion in self-custodied assets.

Through the integration, users can also access core Injective products such as Injective Hub and popular decentralized applications including Helix, all from within the familiar Phantom interface. For $INJ, this shifts the token from a more niche, chain-specific asset into one that sits comfortably inside the daily workflow of millions of Solana users.

The move reflects a broader trend of Layer 1 networks competing for wallet-level distribution, where embedding into high-traffic interfaces has become as important as raw on-chain performance.
