Bitcoin breaking above $79,000 has set off a wide-ranging rally across the crypto market, with a clutch of major altcoins posting sharp double-digit gains in a single trading session.

ARB, UNI, and NEAR Lead the Charge

@Arbitrum's $ARB, @Uniswap's $UNI, and @NEARProtocol's $NEAR have each surged more than 25% in the past 24 hours, making them some of the standout performers in the current move. They are not alone. @Aptos' $APT, @worldnetwork's $WLD, @Ondo's $ONDO, and @Injective's $INJ have all recorded significant gains in the same window.

The $BTC breakout itself has been notable for its composition. The move to $79,100 was described by analysts as largely spot-driven rather than leverage-fuelled, with perpetual funding rates printing near zero throughout the advance. A major force behind Bitcoin's rally has been sustained demand for U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds. BTC spot ETFs took in roughly $1.92 billion in the week of the breakout, a 2026 weekly record.

Robinhood Chain Adds Fuel for ARB and UNI

For $ARB and $UNI specifically, the rally has a more concrete on-chain narrative behind it. Robinhood Chain, which went live around two months ago, has become the biggest fee-generating chain across crypto. Robinhood Chain is built with Arbitrum technology, and under the Arbitrum Expansion Program the chain sends back 10% of its net protocol revenue, split 8% to the Arbitrum DAO treasury and 2% to the developer guild.

On the Uniswap side, more Robinhood users generate more trading volume, more volume generates more fees, and more fees burn more UNI. UNI surged 28.8% to $8.74, leading a strong rally in altcoins including NEAR and ARB.

The ArbOS Elara upgrade has also strengthened Arbitrum's fundamentals and could sustain September momentum for DeFi activity, though a scheduled token unlock poses a near-term risk for $ARB. Analysts note that macro conditions remain a key variable for the broader market, with Bitcoin's upward trajectory still heavily dependent on macro signals, and the rally potentially losing momentum if concerns around U.S. Treasury policy are reassessed.

For now, sentiment remains broadly constructive, and the current wave of gains underscores how quickly capital can rotate from Bitcoin into higher-beta altcoins once a key price level is cleared.
