Lighter expands Chainlink integration to more than 100 new markets
Perpetuals exchange Lighter has expanded its Chainlink price feed integration to over 100 additional markets, covering equities, crypto, FX, and commodities, across its own Ethereum L2 and Robinhood Chain.
Perpetuals exchange @Lighter_xyz has extended its use of @chainlink price feeds to more than 100 additional markets, the project announced on August 28. The expansion adds to the 25 markets already running on Chainlink infrastructure, bringing in US and Asian equities, major crypto assets, foreign exchange pairs, and commodities.
Broad Market Coverage Across Two Chains
The integration runs across two deployments: Lighter has adopted Chainlink Data Streams as its official oracle solution powering its real-world asset markets. That infrastructure now covers both Lighter's own Ethereum Layer 2 and its presence on Robinhood Chain (@RobinhoodCrypto), where a revamped Robinhood Wallet gives eligible users in selected jurisdictions access to perpetual futures via the Ethereum-based decentralized exchange. The whole experience lives inside the Robinhood Wallet, meaning users do not need to navigate unfamiliar DeFi interfaces to start trading perps.
Chainlink has seen increased adoption across onchain derivatives markets, with Lighter ranked as the second-largest perpetuals DEX by volume among the exchanges adopting Chainlink infrastructure.
Scale and Context
@Lighter_xyz's cumulative trading volume stands at $1.7 trillion. Lighter raised $68 million in a funding round announced last November at a $1.5 billion valuation, with backing from Robinhood Ventures. The protocol is built on zero-knowledge rollup technology, processing trades off the main Ethereum chain for speed and cost efficiency before cryptographically verifying them.
The Robinhood Chain relationship has deepened steadily since the chain's mainnet launch on July 1, 2026. The deal grants Lighter access to Robinhood's nearly 28 million customers, though the perpetuals product remains unavailable in the US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, UAE, and Singapore. More recently, Robinhood Crypto and Lighter launched a live points incentive program rewarding eligible users for trading perpetual futures inside the Robinhood Wallet, which went live on August 10, 2026.
Expanding Chainlink coverage to more than 125 markets in total signals a push to deepen the reliability of price data underpinning Lighter's growing suite of real-world asset and derivatives markets.
