PancakeSwap hit groundbreaking user milestone

@PancakeSwap has crossed the 200 million user mark, a milestone that underscores its standing as the dominant decentralized liquidity venue heading into the second half of 2026.

A Platform Built on Sustained Growth

The milestone did not arrive suddenly. PancakeSwap entered 2026 on the back of a record-breaking year, processing $2.36 trillion in trading volume in 2025 and capturing 37.8% of total DEX market share. That foundation has since expanded: the platform has accumulated $4.2 trillion in total lifetime trading volume across all asset types.

In 2026, PancakeSwap operates across eight blockchains: BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, zkSync Era, Linea, opBNB, and Polygon zkEVM. While the multi-chain footprint has broadened its reach, BNB Chain remains the engine of the platform, accounting for the deepest liquidity and the highest transaction counts.

On the tokenomics side, the $CAKE governance token, with a circulating supply of approximately 389 million tokens, powers the ecosystem. Following the CAKE Tokenomics 3.0 rollout, the token achieved a net burn of about 8.19% in 2025, and a governance proposal in early 2026 aims to reduce the maximum supply from 450 million to 400 million.

Expanding Into Tokenized Assets

Beyond spot trading in $BTC and memecoins, PancakeSwap has moved aggressively into tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). The platform crossed $1 billion in cumulative trading volume for tokenized assets, reporting $100 million in tokenized asset volume during its mid-year recap in July before reaching ten times that figure just four days later.

PancakeSwap v3 has processed over $3 billion in tokenized stock trading volume in 2026, leading a DEX category that grew from $212 million to $4.27 billion in under a year, edging out Raydium CLMM at approximately $3.1 billion and Uniswap v4 at around $1.9 billion. BNB Chain now hosts over 709 tokenized stocks and ETFs.

The tokenized asset push was largely triggered by a partnership with Ondo Finance. In late October 2025, PancakeSwap integrated Ondo Finance's tokenized US stocks and exchange-traded funds, a single partnership that brought over 100 new tokenized assets into the BNB ecosystem. The appeal is practical: tokenized versions of stocks trade around the clock, every day of the year, with fractionalization enabling purchases without a brokerage account, minimum balances, or KYC friction.

With 200 million users now on board and a growing suite of products spanning crypto-native tokens, memecoins, and tokenized equities, @PancakeSwap appears well-positioned to remain the primary decentralized exchange for retail participants through the current market cycle.
