X Sues Bitcoin Influencers Over Alleged Engagement Manipulation
X has taken two Bitcoin influencers to the UK High Court, alleging a coordinated scheme to manipulate engagement metrics and fraudulently collect over £207,000 in creator revenue.

UK High Court Filing Names Two Bitcoin Influencers
X Internet Unlimited Company and X Corp. have filed a lawsuit in the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales against two Bitcoin influencers, Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa, along with unidentified operators of related accounts. The case was submitted to the UK High Court on September 17 under claim number BL-2026-001161.
X alleges the defendants coordinated multiple accounts to post identical or near-identical content, like and repost each other's material, and manipulate engagement metrics. The company claims the defendants operated the accounts "as a single coordinated network" to increase monetizable engagement.
According to the complaint, six primary accounts were enrolled in Creator Revenue Sharing between August 2023 and February 2026: @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, @saylordocs, @TrendingBitcoin, @Kalshibacktest and @PolyBackTest. The highest individual payment documented was £74,332.44 for @Vivek4real_, with @saylordocs receiving £49,441.91, while revenue linked to @Bitcoin_Teddy totaled approximately £50,000.
X Seeks Repayment and Damages
X says the scheme fraudulently generated at least £207,384 through its Creator Revenue Sharing Program. The platform suspended the accounts on August 18, roughly a month before filing suit, and estimates investigation and remediation costs at £75,000 or more.
X has brought claims including deceit, breach of contract, unjust enrichment and unlawful-means conspiracy, though the allegations have not been adjudicated. The platform is seeking full repayment of the alleged fraudulent earnings, plus damages, interest, and legal costs.
X suspended the accounts on August 18 after identifying what it described as coordinated revenue-sharing fraud. The platform stopped accepting new participants into Creator Revenue Sharing on August 7 and ended earnings under the program on September 7. X has since replaced Creator Revenue Sharing with its Original Content Rewards programme, which excludes fraudulent and artificially generated engagement from eligible payouts.
The claims have not been proven in court, and no public defense filing or judgment had been located as of September 21.
