Two projects added Chainlink services for bridged TAO and commodity data
Forever Money is using Chainlink CCIP to bring native TAO from Bittensor to Robinhood Chain, while GMTrade is deploying Chainlink Data Streams to power 24/7 commodity perpetuals on Solana.
@chainlink announced two new integrations on September 11, signalling continued momentum for its infrastructure across both cross-chain bridging and real-world asset pricing.
Forever Money Brings Native TAO to Robinhood Chain via CCIP
@forevermoney_ai, the Bittensor bridge protocol, is using Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to bring native $TAO to Robinhood Chain. The bridge moves TAO from the Bittensor network and deploys it alongside automated liquidity vaults, with CCIP providing the security layer. The integration extends a pattern already forming around Robinhood Chain's infrastructure: Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum-based layer 2, adopted Chainlink as its official data and cross-chain oracle layer at mainnet launch, with CCIP, Data Streams, and Data Feeds all live from day one. Plugging native $TAO into that ecosystem gives Bittensor's token a new distribution route on one of the more closely watched new layer 2 networks. The expansion of the Bittensor ecosystem onto Robinhood Chain was facilitated through Chainlink CCIP, providing a new distribution channel for TAO.
GMTrade Deploys Chainlink Data Streams for Round-the-Clock Commodity Markets
On the other side of the announcement, RWA perp DEX @gmtrade_xyz is integrating $LINK Data Streams to run 24/7 commodity markets. The platform launched perpetual futures trading for commodities including gold (XUG), silver (XAG), and WTI crude oil, with Chainlink Data Streams powering real-time pricing around the clock.
The oracle choice is central to the product design. Pricing runs through Chainlink Data Streams RWA Advanced (v11), a pull-based oracle system that delivers fresh price data at execution rather than on a periodic schedule. That matters for commodity markets, where traditional push-based oracles update on a schedule, leaving windows where stale on-chain prices can diverge from actual market prices, a gap that can be exploited when commodities move on news events between updates.
GMTrade strategically focuses on the RWA segment, covering equities, foreign exchange, commodities, and indices, expanding the range of instruments available to crypto-native traders. The platform now lists close to 90 markets spanning forex, commodities, indices, and equities, all priced via Chainlink Data Streams. The commodity perps launch removes one of the more visible constraints of traditional markets: for decades, traders have been locked out of positions during evenings, weekends, and holidays while prices kept moving without them.
Taken together, the two integrations reflect a broader trend in which Chainlink's suite of services, CCIP for cross-chain asset movement and Data Streams for low-latency off-chain pricing, continues to be adopted as core infrastructure across different corners of the DeFi ecosystem.
