Huma Finance hits new record on Solana
PST, the yield-bearing PayFi Strategy Token from Huma Finance, has hit a $322M market cap in just over a week on Solana, making it the largest yield-bearing instrument on the network and the fastest-growing tokenized product in DeFi.
$PST, the flagship yield-bearing token from @HumaFinance, has reached a market capitalization of $322 million just over a week after its launch on Solana, marking a new milestone for both the protocol and the broader real-world asset (RWA) sector.
What is PST?
PST, short for PayFi Strategy Token, is the core yield-bearing instrument at the heart of Huma 2.0. Users deposit USDC and receive PST, which earns USDC yield from payment financing activity, currently at around 9% APY, plus Huma Feather rewards. As a liquid, yield-bearing LP token, PST allows holders to integrate their Huma positions with leading protocols across the Solana DeFi ecosystem. At launch, users could swap PST for USDC via Jupiter, with support for using PST as collateral on Kamino and trading future rewards via RateX planned shortly after.
The speed of capital accumulation is notable. Reaching $322 million in market cap within days of launch positions $PST as the largest yield-bearing instrument on the Solana network and, according to @HumaFinance, the fastest-growing tokenized product in the decentralized ecosystem.
RWA Momentum and the Bigger Picture
The milestone reflects a wider shift in DeFi toward yield that is grounded in real economic activity rather than token incentives. Real-world assets, which include off-chain instruments such as treasury bills and trade receivables tokenized on-chain, have become one of the fastest-growing sectors in crypto, bridging traditional yield with on-chain liquidity.
@HumaFinance has been building its PayFi infrastructure steadily. The platform aims to address the liquidity needs of trade financing using blockchain technology, offering more efficient and accessible services than traditional alternatives. In Q3 2025, originations through Huma pools totaled $860.6 million, up over 25% quarter-on-quarter, while total transaction volume grew to $1.7 billion.
The rapid uptake of $PST suggests that demand for sustainable, real-yield products in the RWA sector is accelerating. For Solana, it adds a significant new financial primitive to its DeFi stack, one backed by real payment flows rather than speculative tokenomics.
