On-Chain Activity Points to Steady Growth

@worldnetwork's @world_chain_ is showing early signs of a recovery in network activity. On-chain fees have risen 30.6% over the past 30 days, with daily transaction fees now standing at $567. That kind of fee growth is a practical indicator of rising user demand, reflecting more transactions being processed on the network rather than just speculative price movement.

World Chain is an OP Stack rollup built to scale Proof of Personhood, aiming to offer priority blockspace for users with a World ID. Verified humans get priority blockspace over bots, as well as a gas allowance for casual transactions. That design gives the chain a differentiated value proposition compared with general-purpose Layer 2 networks.

$WLD Market Snapshot: Solid Volume, but a Long Way From Its Peak

On the market side, $WLD is trading at around $0.321, giving it a market capitalisation of approximately $1.16B and a daily trading volume of $123.7M. The 30-day average daily trading volume has been roughly $123.3M, broadly consistent with the figures cited above.

Despite the fee growth and solid liquidity, the token remains far below its previous peak. Worldcoin reached an all-time high of $11.74, a level hit in March 2024 that $WLD has not come close to revisiting since.

One factor that could ease sell pressure going forward is a recent change to token emissions. World Network implemented a scheduled 43% cut to its aggregate daily WLD unlock rate on July 24, 2026, with emissions dropping from approximately 5.1 million to 2.9 million tokens per day across community and investor allocations. A reduction of that scale slows the pace of new supply entering the market, which could support the price if demand continues to improve.

There is also growing institutional interest in the project. Grayscale Investments filed an S-1 with the SEC for a Worldcoin ETF that would hold $WLD directly, with the July 2026 filing leading to an immediate price increase of roughly 7 to 8 percent, signalling traditional finance interest in the project's biometric proof-of-humanity technology.

That said, challenges remain. Worldcoin has faced regulatory scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions over biometric data privacy, including a temporary ban from Spain's data protection authority under GDPR urgency procedures. Broader adoption will likely hinge on how the project navigates those ongoing hurdles.
