Wyoming's $FRNT Becomes the Most Transparent Government-Issued Stablecoin in the U.S.

The @wyostable has adopted @Chainlink Proof of Reserve to provide near real-time, on-chain verification of its $FRNT stablecoin, setting a new benchmark for government-issued digital asset transparency in the United States.

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission, issuer of the first U.S.-state-issued stable token, announced that the State of Wyoming has deepened its adoption of Chainlink to bring a new standard for reserve transparency. $FRNT went live in January as the first stable token issued by a U.S. state, backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasuries, with income from reserves helping diversify Wyoming's state revenues and support its School Foundation Program.

In the integration, The Network Firm examines $FRNT's reserve and token-supply balances under AICPA standards, while Chainlink Proof of Reserve delivers verified reserve data on-chain in near real time, creating a stronger assurance model that removes blind spots between reporting periods and gives regulators, institutions, and market participants more timely visibility into $FRNT's backing.

Exceeding the GENIUS Act's Federal Baseline

The GENIUS Act establishes an important federal baseline for stablecoin transparency, requiring monthly disclosure of reserve composition and outstanding supply supported by independent examination of month-end reporting. Wyoming already surpasses those requirements by posting daily attestations on its website, and by adopting Chainlink Proof of Reserve, it further exceeds its own best-in-class baseline by combining independent examination with automated on-chain verification.

The Commission is also in the process of adopting Chainlink Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, which would require verified reserves to equal or exceed $FRNT's total supply before new tokens can be minted. The feature is designed to help prevent infinite-mint attacks and provide cryptographic assurance that newly issued tokens are backed by reserves.

This latest step builds on Wyoming's decision last month to fully migrate $FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP, making it the exclusive cross-chain infrastructure after a security review. By doing so, Wyoming is providing a blueprint for other states, government entities, financial institutions, and stablecoin issuers seeking to deploy regulated digital assets across blockchains while meeting strict institutional standards for operational security.
