XRP Tops the Agenda for Wealth Managers

$XRP is emerging as one of the most talked-about digital assets among professional investors. Bitwise research analyst Ryan Rasmussen reported that XRP received the most attention from a group of approximately 400 wealth managers during a recent presentation focused on digital assets and blockchain trends. The event, held in partnership with Bitwise chief investment officer Matt Hougan, covered a range of topics including Bitcoin, Solana, Hyperliquid, stablecoins, and tokenization. Despite that breadth, XRP stood apart.

A poll taken during the session underscored how early many advisers still are in the crypto adoption curve. About 67% of participants said they did not currently allocate to cryptocurrency, while 60% expected crypto prices to be higher by the end of 2026 and the same share said they planned to allocate to the asset class within the next year. Market conditions, compliance policies, and client risk limits could affect whether those planned allocations ultimately occur.

ETF Flows and Institutional Holdings Signal Broader Interest

The interest expressed in that room is backed by real money moving into the market. US spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded 11 consecutive trading sessions of net inflows through September 1, attracting approximately $170 million during the period, according to SoSoValue data. The products had accumulated roughly $1.68 billion in net inflows since launching in November 2025. However, the streak ended on September 2, when the funds recorded approximately $7.2 million in combined net outflows.

Regulatory filings paint an equally notable picture on the institutional side. According to 13F filings, Goldman Sachs is the largest institutional holder of the XRP ETF, with holdings of approximately $87.4 million. Jane Street and Millennium Management hold $16.6 million and $16.2 million, respectively. Investment advisors represent the largest category of holders, accounting for about $120 million of the disclosed $183 million, while hedge funds hold approximately $25 million, and brokers and banks hold around $17 million and $14 million, respectively.

It is worth noting a caveat on those figures. Institutional filings can create a misleading picture of conviction if read in isolation. A bank's ETF position might reflect trading desk activity rather than a belief that XRP is headed higher, and without visibility into hedging strategies elsewhere, no filing tells the full story of net exposure. Still, the direction of travel is clear: professional capital is moving into the XRP market in a way that was not possible before the launch of regulated spot products.
