$XRP has returned to the $1.50 level for the first time since August 25, riding a broader crypto market recovery that has gathered pace over recent weeks. The total crypto market cap hit $2.86 trillion on September 19, jumping more than 5% in a single day. The move has lifted sentiment across the asset class, with $XRP among the tokens catching a bid.

Bitcoin ripped past $81,000 on September 19, gaining 5% overnight, after the Fed raised rates for the first time since 2023. Rather than triggering a sell-off, bad news stopped pushing prices down, which many analysts viewed as the clearest sign of market strength in months. @Ripple's $XRP has moved in line with this broader recovery, posting a 7.4% gain in the past 24 hours.

The return to $1.50 has generated optimism within the XRP community, though the token's longer-term picture remains mixed. Despite the near-term bounce, $XRP is still down 50% over the past year, a reminder of how far prices fell from the highs recorded in early 2026. XRP climbed 28.5% in August, its best August since 2021.

What Could Drive $XRP Higher From Here

Seven US spot XRP ETFs together hold 977.92 million XRP with $1.064 billion in assets, accumulated since the first launches in late 2025. That institutional presence provides a structural demand floor, though analysts caution it has so far not been enough to fully absorb the token's ongoing supply dynamics.

ETF inflows and the CLARITY Act vote are cited as primary near-term catalysts for $XRP in September. Broader 2026 year-end estimates span $0.65 to $1.50 in conservative scenarios to $1.60 to $2.40 in bullish cases, contingent on ETF flows and regulatory milestones.

Key Risks to Watch

In seven of the last eight years, XRP's September moved in the opposite direction to its August. In five of the six years when August fell, September rose. But both times August rose, September fell, losing 14% in 2020 and 19.6% in 2021. With August having delivered a strong rally, that seasonal pattern is worth keeping in mind.

September historically reverses August strength in most recent years, and macro factors including Fed policy and Bitcoin dominance add further uncertainty.
