Zcash Foundation announces Zcon7, set for October 27-29 in Cancun

Seventh Annual Zcash Conference Heads to Mexico

The @ZcashFoundation has officially announced Zcon7, the seventh edition of its annual flagship conference. The event will be an in-person gathering taking place October 27 to 29, 2026 in Cancun, Mexico. Executive director Alex Bornstein is set to open proceedings at a conference that will cover $ZEC-native research, protocol development, and community debate.

Zcon is the Zcash Foundation's annual conference focused on Zcash and privacy-preserving technologies, bringing together developers, researchers, policy thinkers, builders, and community members from around the world to collaborate and shape the future of financial privacy.

This year carries added significance. Zcon7 will coincide with Zcash's 10th birthday on October 28, making this edition a major milestone for the community.

The theme for this year's event is ¡Vamos!, the Spanish phrase for "Let's go." It is a call to action for momentum, urgency, and collective progress, representing a shift toward removing friction, accelerating development, strengthening coordination, and turning ambitious ideas into real-world impact.

Free to Attend, but Space Is Limited

The conference ticket is completely free, but submitting the application form is not a confirmed registration. Because event capacity is limited, the Zcash Foundation will review applications on a rolling basis.

The Foundation is also offering Zcon7 Scholarships for vital community contributors who need financial support, covering up to $1,000 USD in travel, four nights of lodging, and transportation to and from Cancun airport.

Zcon7 will be in-person only, with no official livestream or virtual registration. The full program is expected to be published in the coming weeks. Those interested can apply directly through the Zcash Foundation's official site.
