Ondo's holder base tops 400,000 as the tokenization race stays open
Ondo Finance now accounts for over 403,000 holders across 441 tokenized real-world asset products worth $3.62 billion, as total RWA holders nearly double in 30 days to 2.8 million and challengers Spiko and Hastra gain ground.
Ondo leads a rapidly expanding field
@Ondo Finance has crossed 403,000 holders across 441 tokenized real-world asset products, with total assets on the platform reaching $3.62 billion, according to rwa.xyz data cited by @BSCNews. The milestone places Ondo among the most widely held RWA platforms in the market, sitting atop a sector that is expanding at a striking pace.
The broader picture is equally notable. Total RWA holders across tracked networks climbed to more than 2.5 million, up roughly 93% from 30 days prior, according to rwa.xyz. The near-doubling of the holder base in a single month points to a shift in adoption that goes beyond gradual institutional uptake.
Total real-world assets on-chain crossed $36 billion in 2026, with tokenized U.S. Treasuries alone reaching approximately $12.88 billion, up from roughly $5 billion in late 2024. BCG projects the broader RWA market reaching $16 trillion by 2030, a figure that would make it one of the largest asset classes in financial services.
Competition intensifies as flows shift
Despite Ondo's strong position, the monthly flow data tells a more complicated story. Challengers Spiko and Hastra drew fresh capital during the period, while Ondo, Securitize, and Ethena each recorded outflows. The divergence suggests the market has not yet settled on a small number of dominant platforms, and that newer entrants can still pull in meaningful allocations.
The institutional tokenization ecosystem in 2026 is highly competitive, defined by a mix of crypto-native protocols and legacy asset managers. Securitize, Ondo Finance, and Franklin Templeton have each built compliance-first tokenization stacks that plug directly into existing securities law rather than attempting to route around it.
Ondo has also been pushing into new territory beyond its core Treasury products. Ondo has emerged as one of the sector's largest issuers, with about $2.6 billion in tokenized U.S. Treasury products across OUSG and USDY and roughly $850 million in tokenized equities, according to rwa.xyz. Ondo Finance has also abandoned plans for a traditional layer-1 blockchain and instead launched Ondo Network, a trading platform it says is better suited to institutional needs, with its first application being Ondo Perps, which lets users trade perpetual futures using tokenized assets as collateral.
The outflows logged this month do not erase Ondo's structural advantages, but they are a reminder that scale alone does not guarantee retention in a market where alternatives are multiplying. The tokenization race, as the holder and flow data both confirm, remains wide open.
