SOL Price is worth watching now...
Solana's native token $SOL is closing in on $100 for the first time since February 2026, fueled by a 30% monthly surge. Here is what traders are watching next.
SOL Closes In on $100 for the First Time Since February
@Solana's native token $SOL is on the verge of reclaiming a key psychological level. According to CoinGecko, the asset has surged over 30% in the past month and is currently trading at $98.95, putting $100 back within reach for the first time since February 2026.
The move is notable given where $SOL has spent most of 2026. Despite the recent momentum, the token is still down nearly 50% over the past year, reflecting a broader and prolonged correction across the altcoin market.
What Traders Are Watching at $97 and Beyond
The $100 mark is not just a round number. Analysts at Coinpedia note that $97 has acted as an important resistance level since the start of 2026, and if a retest of that level fails to break to the upside, price could gravitate back toward the lower edge of a falling wedge pattern near $60 or lower. For a sustained bullish reversal, SOL must overcome that immediate resistance, which would open the door for a move toward $109.
Beyond that, if those levels are flipped into support, the next primary target lies within the $120 to $140 range. Prediction market data adds further context: based on Polymarket data, Solana has a 66.5% probability of reaching $120 by the end of 2026.
On the technical side, the daily chart for Solana is currently bullish, with the 50-day moving average sitting below the price and rising, which may support future price movements. However, the picture on longer timeframes remains mixed. Solana is showing signs of stabilization after an extended decline, but there is currently no confirmed long-term bullish pattern. The first step is establishing a durable floor, followed by a recovery above key resistance levels near $90 and $100.
Broader analyst forecasts vary widely. InvestingHaven's 2026 price range for SOL sits between $52 and $150, with $95 an important target, and $150 coming firmly into focus if bullish momentum strengthens. On the more conservative end, some analysts forecast a maximum trading value of around $113.60 for December 2026, with a possibility of dropping to a minimum of $79.51.
For now, the $100 level remains the immediate test. A clean break and hold above it could set the tone for $SOL heading into the final quarter of 2026.
